பொருள்Salutations to Shiva, honoured with the waters of Mandakini and sandalwood, lord of Nandi and the pramathas, and richly worshipped with mandara and many flowers, revealed through ma.

பொருள்Salutations to Shiva, the auspicious sun that opens Gauri’s lotus face, destroyer of Daksha’s sacrifice, blue-throated and bearing the bull as his emblem, revealed through śi.

वसिष्ठकुम्भोद्भवगौतमार्यमुनीन्द्रदेवार्चितशेखराय । चन्द्रार्कवैश्वानरलोचनाय तस्मै वकाराय नमः शिवाय ॥ ४॥

पञ्चाक्षरमिदं पुण्यं यः पठेच्छिवसन्निधौ । शिवलोकमवाप्नोति शिवेन सह मोदते ॥ ६॥
ஒலிபெயர்ப்புpañcākṣaram idaṃ puṇyaṃ yaḥ paṭhec chiva-sannidhau | śivalokam avāpnoti śivena saha modate || 6 ||
பொருள்Whoever recites this sacred five-syllabled hymn in Shiva’s presence attains Shiva’s realm and rejoices in Shiva’s company.
